Recover data onto new hardware
A friend of mine had her laptop stolen over the weekend. However I JUST did a full TrueImage backup like a week ago. Whew!
We are going to get her another laptop, but it will no doubt be a different PC (brand and model). So how can I best go about restoring her data/applications?
I would assume that since the hardware will be different, that I cant do a full restore of the entire disk. Right?
As much as it would be convenient to restore her apps, I would think that this would be impossible for the same reason as above: different hardware. Correct?
So, if I just want to restore her data (or better yet her entire user account), is that possible?
I have never done such a partial recovery with TrueImage (only full restorations in the past), so is this hard to do? A standard option in the program?
What do I do, install TrueImage on the NEW PC, then connect my backup hard disk and do a restore that way?

David,
As Peregrine suggested you could purchase the Plus Pack and use Universal Restore. This would allow you to restore your entire system. If it doesn't work, your fall back position will be to restore only the content files.
Do the restore from the bootable CD in either case. You will be able to restore her user account. I would not restore the hidden App Data folder as a whole but only selected folders after you have installed the corresponding app (Apple iTunes library, WMP library, email settings and folders can be found in this folder)
