Recovering from nonstop backup returns zero-length files
I've tried to recover my Documents directory from a nonstop backup. The backup browser shows all the files with the correct size, but after a restore, all the files are size 0 and the folders are empty. The enclosed screen shot shows a recovery of the TrueImage User Guide, size about 7.5 megabytes, to a zero-byte file on my desktop.
In other words, I can't recover any of the data that True Image allegedly backed up. Any solutions? I have to admit I'm getting tired of the constant issues I seem to have with this program. Retrospect is clunky in comparison, but you know what? I've never lost a single file in over 20 years...sigh...

Oleg,
Would you be able to at least tell us if the next build is to be released in the next few days, within a week, maybe in April or later?

Hello Steve,
Thank you for posting.
I am unable to provide you with the exact time frame, we are doing everything possible to release Update 2 as soon as possible. We do have an RC build now, but it should be fully tested by our QA team. For example, we were planning to release Update 2 a month ago, but this build has been returned for improvement.
Please do not hesitate to ask additional questions if the provided information is not clear or you need a further assistance.
Thank you.

Thank you for a response. I see that you job recently is probably pretty tough and I respect what you are trying to do. I appreciate the info.
In the mean-time, would you be able to post when you know it will be released? Or will it just show up in our account? I don't go into it unless I have problems and I know (or just want to check if) there is a newer version. In other words, will there be a way for all of us to be notified of an update automatically?

Oleg,
Thank you for your reply. I love the True Image Home product...when it works. But finding out that months of backups are unrecoverable is, as you can understand, simply not acceptable in a backup product.

Hello all,
Thank you for posting.
Steve,
Since the subscription system is rather unstable, the best way is to check the appropriate web page from time to time. The list of latest builds is available on this page. We will also place a sticky thread concerning the new build release.
David,
I understand this is a major issue for you considering you can't restore the files properly. According to our database, you will be able to restore by means of the new build some of the files from the archive created by build #6053 (unfortunately, not all of them).
If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other questions do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.
Thank you.

David,
Could you please update the program and try to recover the .pdf files? Are you able to open the restored files?
Could you please also create a new archive and try to recover your Documents directory from a nonstop backup file?
In other words, please let us know if the fix is working for .pdf files.
We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.
Please do not hesitate to ask additional questions if the provided information is not clear or you need a further assistance.
Thank you.
