Recovery After Unsuccessful install of Backtrack.

Thread needs solution

Dear
I have a vaio laptop with 320 GB HDD.
in first steps of installation of Backtrack (from live CD) I push a button which says "The next screen allows you to configure the partitioning layout. The assumption is that we are deleting the whole drive and installing BackTrack on it." when I forward this section in the next section it was button which says "Create new partition" and I press that button but I Undo it. and then quit the installer. After that I see an unallocated space with live cd. is it possible to recover partitions and all files. ( and somehow use the windows I had?) And How much does it take to recover all 320 GB? And which version of software should I use?
Sincerely yours.

Is your issue with Backtrack or with Acronis software.

If you want to restore a Harddisk using ati, you must first backup the entire disk ( a disk mode backup) to a location on another harddisk and then create a bootCD (preferably). Then to restore the harddisk to the condition it was in when you made the backup, you boot the bootcd and select to Restore/recovery and select the backup you made as the one to restore. You want to choose to restore all partitions and MBR. This will put the disk back with all the same partitions it had when you made thebackp. You can find all this in the user guide:
