Recovery Doesn't See Backup Drive

Thread needs solution

I am using TI 2015 Build 6525 and itdoesn't see my external USB drive with the backups when I boot into it either when Recovery Manager is activated or from the Recovery Disk. I never had this problem with earlier builds on this computer. I am not experiencing this on my wife's computer and we both have Windows 8.1. Any suggestions. When I try to recover Refresh Backups just goes into a never ending loop and Browse for backups just hangs.

Is your external drive a USB 3.0 drive? Drive manufacturer? Is this a new occurrence, where it did work at one time but no longer does?

Thanks for our quick response. I tried it again on my wife's Desktop and my Laptop and it worked well and quickly. So as a last shot I went back to my Desktop and tried it. The problem was, for whatever reason, it is just mind numbingly slow on my computer. Maybe it's the size of my hard drives , a 3TB and a 1TB, but when I decided to wait it out, it just took forever to finally see all the drives. I don't remember that happening in the past, but I guess I'm OK with it as long as I know that I have the ability to rescue by OS if need be.
Thanks again for getting back to me!

Glad you got things working. Yes the size of your drives makes a big difference. The application performs a scan of the installed drives in a machine before it is ready for the user to create any tasks so the larger these drives are and the more drives installed the longer the process.

I only wish there was some indication that the program was working and not hung up. There's no way to tell what it is doing!
