Recovery Fails from Nonstop Backup

Thread needs solution

Hi,

Nonstop Backup is running for a while now. In the past I had massive problems with its incompatibility to Avira, but that seems to be solved.
Recently I tried to recover files from the backup and ATI tells me that the action was completed successfully, but in fact the file was not restored.

In the log file, there is an error message "end of file reached" together with the error code 0x00040002.

Note: I know that the file itself was not corrupt, because it is a zip file which I unpacked just before deleting it.

Unfortunately, ATI has no option to validate a Nonstop Backup. This makes the program quite unreliable.

Is there anything I can try before I finally decide to uninstall Acronis and change to a different backup program?

Hi,

the support told me that ATIH2012 is still incompatible with Avira Antivirus.
So, if you are running that Antivirus program, you should not use Nonstop Backup.
