Recovery media problem with Dell laptop - solved
Thread needs solution
A week ago I purchased ATI Home 2010 for use on a 6 month old Dell Inspiron laptop. When I tried booting from the supplied CD in "recovery mode" the laptop re-started part way through the boot sequence. Upgrading to the latest build failed to fix the problem. Interestingly, the original CD booted fine on 2 other Dell desktops and another older Dell laptop.
Support sent me a couple of alternative ISO images which also failed to fix it. However, the new one they sent this morning is working fine!
I mention this simply because it seems to be a common problem , and it looks as if there is now a "fix" which will be incorporated in the next update:
