Recovery to UEFI System Not Working in ATI 2015?
I posted this as part of an earlier thread, but wanted to get specific feedback on it. This procedure for recovery of a MBR disk to a UEFI system using ATI 2014 (http://www.acronis.com/en-gb/support/documentation/ATIH2014/index.html#…) simply does not work for me in ATI 2015. I have tried several times to boot from USB recovery media in UEFI mode and on one occasion even emptied the drive and converted it to GPT prior to recovery (a long shot admittedly), but all to no effect. ATI 2015 simply will not allow me to select my local disk as the target of the restore if I'm in UEFI mode. (It works fine in BIOS mode, but leaves the disk as MBR, as you would expect.)
According to the documentation for ATI 2014 I should be able to restore my MBR disk in UEFI mode and it should be converted to GPT on completion (see step 4).
Did this ever work? Was it removed in ATI 2015? Or is there something I'm missing?

Unfortunately, I am unable to reproduce this idyllic scenario. I have just now done a full disk backup using ATI 2015 (Home) to a NAS and attempted to restore it from a UEFI-booted USB recovery copy of ATI. It lets me find and select the source just fine, but won't let me select a destination.
So I booted the Windows 8.1 install image into command line and cleaned the disk using diskpart and repeated. This time the disk turns up as 'not initialized' in the ATI destination dialog, but still no joy - it doesn't allow me to select it.
I then rebooted in BIOS mode and restored the disk as MBR (still in progress as I write this, but it has always worked before).
I wonder what the difference is? My disk is a 500GB SSD.

I raised a ticket for this with support who told me to create bootable media from this image:

It worked after I did that.
