is reinstalling local client advisable?

Hello,

My online backup apparently runs with error every day.
Upon verification of the backupped data with the webclient, some are missing.
Some files having multiple historical versions, in reality only have a few.

Files that were frequently modified, are shown as backupped every day on the dateline.
But once again upon inspection, versions are missing.

the log on the pcclient shows incomplete warnings.

It seems the pc-client (build 4193) has (developed) problems.
May I reinstall it without losing the link to the online backup and its version histories?
