Renaming Backup Name
When you originally create a backup it proposes a default name. If I change the name it is accepted in the settings dialog box, but still uses the original default name when executing the backup. I have done this numerous times on multiple computers and the results are the same. I am running ATI 2014 Premium build 6614. The operating system is Microsoft Windows Professional 64-bit Version 7SP1 and Microsoft Windows Ultimate 64-bit Version 7SP1.
All patches have been applied to the OS.
That is the procedure that I am following. The dialog box has the correct name but when the Backup executes it uses the default name. This is occurring on multiple computers.
Make sure you enter the "file name" after you click on browse in the destination dialog box (timestamp 1:18mn in the video that Grover shared with you). The "backup name" in the settings window is in fact the task name, not the file name. After you have entered the file name, the "backup name" will change to be the same as the file name. At that point you can still change the task name ("backup name") but the file name you have entered in the destination selection window will not change.
