Renaming the 'My backups' directory on the backup disk; Acronis True Image 2013

Thread needs solution

Is it possible to rename the 'My backups' directory on the backup disk (external hard drive), so that it has a more descriptive name, such as 'HP_laptop backups' or 'Desktop backups', so that I can tell from a glance which computer backup I am looking at? I tried renaming the directory manually (using Windows Explorer), but then Acronis can't find the backup - it keeps looking for 'My backups'.

When you create a new backup task you have the opportunity to name the folder whatever you like, or point it to any folder you want.

Check out the many user guides and tutorials in the left margin of this forum, particularly Getting Started and Grover's True Image Guides which are illustrated with step-by-step screenshots.

Many thanks tuttle - that's a great help. Problem solved.

I had previously tried to name the directory when I created the task, but I couldn't figure out how to do it. I was referring to the Users guide, but obviously hadn't read the complete documentation available. The link you sent is very helpful - I'll send Grover a thank you.
