Resising "C" partition.

I have my "C" drive on a 15 gig partition of my 500 gig primary hard drive in order to be able to take Acronis images of my operating system without having to backup the entire disc. After many years I have come to the limit of the 15 gig and need to re size it. My question is will the previous Acronis images be able to be restored as before if I make this partition larger?
