[RESOLVED] True Image Universal Restore issue
I am having an issue with Universal Restore - here is the scenario:
Windows 7 x64 image taken from my main workstation.
My workstation's hardware has died so, using True Image I restore the image to a virtual machine (VMWare Server). The restore goes fine and the workstation boots up no problems at all.
I can login and all is well. However, on logging in the workstation updates some hardware drivers of its own accord - and demands a reboot.
On reboot it continually BSDs - IRQ not handled. Running Windows 7 repair from the install disk - it said that it corrected a few issues - but the same BSD remained.
Is there anything I can do to prevent Win7 from updating its hardware - it was working fine on first boot?
Thank fully I set a "snapshot" after the restore so I can easily go back to the "pre-updated" status and try new things.
Many thanks
