Restore not recognizing HDD ICH9R RAID 0

Thread needs solution

Hi All,

I have a ICH9R Raid 0 disk subsystem. I am running Windows 7 x64.

I took a full backup using Acronis True Image Home 2011. I then created a "Bootable Rescue Media" DVD. I booted the PC from this DVD and Acronis loaded up, but said it couldn't find any hard disks.

How can I get Acronis to recognize my hard disk?

Register your software on your account at ACronis.com.

You should be able to download a bootable media ISO. Burn it to a CD and try again.

If this doesn't work, contact Acronis support. They should be able to provide you with the right image/workaround.

I am using the trial version. I wanted to make sure it worked before I purchase. Do you have a download link for the working boot cd?

Submit a ticket to Acronis support (so that you know, I am not an Acronis employee).

It seems I cannot - when I try to submit a ticket I get:

"We don’t have a valid registration of your trial product, see KB Article for details."

The KB article states:

"A follow-up E-mail with the registration information will also be sent to the provided E-mail address."

I've installed the trial version twice now, but still no email. I have checked spam folders, etc. and waited a few hours

ffs, so much fail. Acronis support, please provide this secret " bootable media ISO" that actually works - why have not released this as an update already?

I don't remember how I did it, but I know I was able to file a ticket. I think I submitted on the web...

Lomax, let me provide you with additional assistance.

In order to get in touch with our Support team via e-mail or chat, I would recommend chat because it is faster, perform the following steps:

1. Log in to your Acronis web-account.

2. Click on Get support.

3. Click on the Start Here button and choose the following in the wizard:

 - Technical issue with the product -> I am using a trial version of the product -> Select Acronis True Image 2011 Home

4. You will have the e-mail or chat option.

Before contacting our Support team, please collect this report using the bootable media. This report will allow us to understand why the media is not detecting your drives.

Sorted now. Tried Norton Ghost and it worked beautifully, first time.
