Restoring over Windows LAN Network with Bootable DVD

Thread needs solution

For several years, I've been backing up my Windows Vista laptop over my LAN to a desktop XP machine. Now, I need to restore those files to my laptop via Acronis bootable media, but it does not list my network when I try to use the "Restore Data Wizard". I saw on another forum/sticky that wireless LAN is not supported by the bootable disk, so I've connected by Ethernet cable and during boot I select "Full Version".

When the Acronis bootable dvd starts to load the Full version, there is a message on the screen for a few seconds that says, "Cannot enable PCI device, aborting....".

On the forums, I've seen similar issues raised, but it's not clear to me if I need another driver on the bootable DVD? Wouldn't ethernet drivers already be installed?

My laptop is an Acer Aspire 5570 2977
and my software version is:
Acronis® True Image Home® version 10.0 (build 4,942)

Please help, thanks!
