Resume files backup to DVDs after system has crashed

Thread needs solution

Hello everyone !

I've got large amount of data to backup and since all my external drives are full, I've decided to burned to DVDs using Acronis Home 2011 True Image. Now, since there is lot of data to backup I use pretty big quantity of DVDs (over 15, i guess). Everything was well until 13th DVD, when system crashed and only option was to "cold boot" the computer.

After the system boot, there was of course, list of previous backups including the last, interrupted by system crash. But note above the progress bar said "not backed up yet". So, if my 12 or 13 DVDs are burned OK, is there a possibility to resume backup, even though system has crashed ?

Thank you very much.

Greetings,
Continuity is not maintained after a system crash and reboot. I strongly recommend you invest in a larger disk that is capable of supporting the size of your back up. As you can see, one hiccup can cause a failure and loss of a significant amount of your own time. Backups spanning that number of DVD's is not worth the chance.

Thank you for the advice !

I'll most certainly purchase larger external storage or even invest in network storage solution since data generation is so significant.

Bets regards,
