You can try the alternate bootcd image -- go to Acronis.com., login in and go to your registered products, there you can download an iso for a bootcd that has a diff loader and some diff drivers. Burn the Iso to CD and try it.

visa,
Hello... Don't know if this is relevant to your problem ... However ..I'm running Acronis 2010 7046 and have 5 Hitachi Deskstar SATA HD's and have never had a problem using "Recovery Manager", "Bootable Recovery Disk" ,or original Acronis CD, or running TI from within Windows... Regards Fred

Also, in the BIOS, have yo checked the boot order? does it go to CD first then Hard disk?

I have allready tested by downloading the boot iso from acronis web site but results are same,Also have tested by changing boot oredr too ,The same boot cd and USB boot works fine with my other desktop which uses the IDE controller.

I am not trying to run within windows I am trying to get the windows image by booting from the CD or USB .

It's not a SATA issue in pariticular. Many of us have been using SATA drives with ATI for many years. And if the bootcd boots on other machines, then we know the bootcd is not corrupt. Can you get any other cds to boot form this machine? If not, it's a probably a problem with your machine's setup or a hardware failure of some wort.

If you can get othrer CD s to boot, then more likely it is a problem more specific to your particular hardware in conflict with the ati bootCD. IF ATI will load from within windows, then load it and run the system report and send that to Tech Support. They can probably tell you what preventing ATI bootcd from loading.

I have used the same CD for another machine which works fine,Also I have tried same type of acer desktop too.

Just to update you that the CD is booting and running the acronis initial progress and then in acronis GUI it give a error message"Acronis true iamge home has not find any hard disk drive" and the system go into struck mode!

But you can boot other disks on this drive, correct?

Yes acer machine can read the CD becuase I did reinstal l the XP in that ACer desktop ,Also i tried the USB boot which is same results in case CD rom drive is faulty. But Tried in same 3 machines same type of model

After contacting the support ,I got a linux boot which worked for my machine .Also i have got follwing link to create boot USB/CD using following guide .Also editing the linux kernal command .
