Schedule Frequency Ignored

Thread needs solution

I have scheduled my backup to run once a month on every 3rd Sunday.

Despite this the schedule runs EVERY Sunday - how can I restrict the frequency to once a month?

Thank you for your post. I will definitely help you with resolving this issue.

It appears to be caused by a glitch in the Acronis Scheduler service. I would recommend to check the solution part of this KB article, update the scheduler and reboot your machine.

I have updated the Scheduler - but will not know if the problem is solved until next Sunday. Hopefully all will be well

Here I am on the second Sunday and unfortunately Acronis has attempted to update despite the update made as advised.

Consider using the Windows Scheduler instead of TrueImage. This link shows you how.

Thank you for your response. I have looked at the link you gave and it seems that you have already spent a lot of time on the subject of backup frequency problems.

I have managed to set up the Windows Scheduler and await next Sunday – when it is due to run – and the following Sunday – when it should remain inactive – to see how things work out.

Otherwise I intend to go along the route of one of the users shown in your link and settle for the easiest option of letting Acronis perform a backup every Sunday (instead of every 3rd Sunday) until such time as they sort out this problem.

Again, many thanks for your help for what seems to be an Acronis shortcoming.
