Screen flickering when booting into True image

Thread needs solution

When I boot my computer from a USB (rescue media) in order to enter "True Image 2013" so that I can recover my c-drive the screen shows only some flickering graphic (as seen below). But I can still recocnize the colors of the program "true image". Could this be a screen resolution problem or is it something else ?

My computer is an Acer aspire E1-570 (laptop)

Hope I described my problem well enough.

Regards Tolle

It would appear that your screen resolution is to high and causing the distortion. Try reducing the resolution and see if that helps.

Hi Enchantech

Thanks for the answer. I already tried that and that didn't help unfortunately. Do you have any other ideas ?

Regards Thomas :)

My guess would be that your graphics adapter is incompatible with the Linux based boot media. Suggest creating a WinPE boot disk instead.

Can you tell me how to create a WinPe boot disk and could that help me to get into Acronis true image before booting windows ? (I have to say I am not a super expert :))

Thomas ;)

MVP Mustang has written a guide to build a 64 bit version you might find useful, link below:

You might also PM Mustang giving your machine specifics and ask for his recommendations.
