Thread needs solution

I tried to do a backup of Entire PC and had most of the completed, until I received the following message:
The specific file does not exist.
Please insert the last media of the archive and click Retry to continue. To create a new version according to the current backup scheme, click Ignore.
RETRY IGNORE CANCEL

Then a prompt seems to suggest that the word LAST should be LIST. Yet, when I change it, it still does not give me a solution.
I tried five different ways to input the error message:
1. The complete message: The specified file does not exist. Please insert the last media of the archive and click Retry to continue. To create a new version according to the current backup scheme, click Ignore.
2. Only the first section: The specified file does not exist. Please insert the last media of the archive and click Retry to continue.
3. The second part: The specified file does not exist. To create a new version according to the current backup scheme, click Ignore.
4. Only the message: Please insert the last media of the archive and click Retry to continue.
5. Only the message: Please insert the last media of the archive and click Retry to continue.
None of these gave me an answer. There was only the prompt: Please insert the list media of the archive and click Retry to continue… note the word “last” was suggested as “list”. However this did not help either.

Any suggestions, please.

Are you validating just after the backup?

If you search on "Acronis the specified file does not exist" there are plenty of hits you might wish to read.

Note the word "specified" not "specific" as you've written so might be worth double checking your error message. Is there an error code shown too?

Pat L, Thank you for the suggestion. However, I am not sure how to do that. Validating after the backup? I have made two Entire PC backups before, but do not remember any validating.
Please explain further.

Chris Yates, I appreciate the correction. Specified is correct.
I could not find an answer for this phenomena though.
Anyway, my concern is that a decision needs to be made, because I have the computer on hold until I appease either of the two suggested prompts mentioned in the "the specified file does not exist". just enter
Should I just go ahead and enter Retry or Ignore? What would happen next for either of these two suggestions, or, should I just Cancel?
Thanks again,
Ed v.

Edward I've had this problem and took the "ignore" option and it has never caused any bad consequence in my case.

Chris, I will try that first.
Thanks,
Ed v.

So... now it has another message:

This is not the last volume of the backup archive.
Click "Retry" to try to read from the same location. To create a new version according to the current backup scheme, click "Cancel".

RETRY CANCEL

What now?
Ed v.

Chris, I forgot:
On the top it sates:

WARNING

Then it is followed underneath by... :

This is not the last volume of the backup archive.
Click "Retry" to try to read from the same location. To create a new version according to the current backup scheme, click "Cancel".

RETRY CANCEL

I hope that I am not going to wife anything out, or worse lose what is still on the PC.

Any suggestions, Please.

Edward

I'm afraid I haven't ever seen that error so can offer no useful advice other than suggesting you follow the recommendation made by Pat L.

In TI 2015 select the backup you're dealing with under "My backups" then under "Operations" select "Validate"
