Specify Backup File Name

Thread needs solution

How can I specify a name for a TI2015 backup file? Specifically, I want to include the machine name, date and time as part of the file name. This was easy to do in TI2014 but I can't find how/where to do it in TI2015.

It seems to default to the brand/model name of my C drive which is useless since I use the same brand/model C drive in several of my PCs.

Thanks.

Peter

All of that has been dropped from 2015. There is no support for macro naming such as for date-time-machine name-exec name.
Basically, what you see is what you get.

What I have found so far is whatever the task name is will be what the tib file name will also be.
So if you want anything special in the tib name, that phrase will need to be part of the task name.

This link may provide a little more info.;

GroverH,

Thanks for the information. Unless I'm missing something (am I?) that would seem to be a major step backward for True Image. A useful feature in previous versions is now gone.

Agreed!
