SSD TRIM Win 7 Pro with a Kingston Hyper X 128 GB SSD.
Acronis TI 2013 build 6514 installed software, but using build 6528 boot disk (recovery manger maybe-I don't remember the title of the download, but I think there is only one ISO download for 6528). F11 Acronis Recovery Manager NOT activated.
After booting from a CD that was a burned ISO download from Acronis, I noticed an issue TRIM command in the tools section. Nice feature to have before recovering a back-up image onto SSDs, although some readings indicate that it's not necessary. When using, I was issued a response that the SSD didn't support TRIM, or that it couldn't be done on this SSD. But that's incorrect. The model supports TRIM and it's activated in the OS, as displayed by the correct registry setting. Additionally, Crystal Disk Info indicates in "features" that is is enabled. Also, I also have not experienced any slow down in either system performance or read/write testing results (AS SSD or Crystal Disk Mark), both of which are possible signs that TRIM is not working. Anyone know what's up here? A manual ability to perform TRIM is a nice feature to have for SSDs.
Thanks.
