sync permanently deleted file

Thread needs solution

fortunately i used a test directory.

source is my internal C:drive | destination is my Y:drive external usb 3 dock

source files synced to destination

deleted one of the source files to test syncing
- source file went to recycle bin
- destination file was deleted

restored file from recycle bin
- file appeared in source directory
- file was deleted from source directory and not put into recycle bin to restore

I duplicated this process a 2nd time. Now i'm pretty nervous about trusting my files to this system.

I have 270GB of photos that I would like to mirror copy with overwrite updated files only. I'm starting to think True Image is not my solution.

in addition to the deleting issue, there's not a lot of info given when syncing. eventually a bar will show up to guesstimate progress; you have to use the system tray icon to see actual progress. you also dont see the speed of the transfer rate, which would be nice.

Is this working as intended?

Is there a way to achieve this result?
- to explain what i'm wanting: after an initial full copy of my lightroom pictures, if i add 100 files and delete 50 and edit 50, i want just those changes updated to mirror the OG folders. Novastor has a feature like this called mirror copy with options on how to overwrite or not overwrite files.

I reported this last year and it has yet to be fixed. I can reproduce the same problem at will when replacing an old file with a new one. Not by overwriting, but by deleting the old file and copying in the new one. All files are lost. Not recoverable.
