syncagentsrv.exe CPU usage very high

I am using True Image Home Synchronization to sync files on two computers. The CPU usage of syncagentsrv.exe is very high - averaging 25% or more on both my machines. I can of course reduce this by pausing the syncs but really this seems like badly designed software; no other sync programs that I know of behave this way. There also not appear to be any way to reduce the syncronization frequency other than by manually pausing it. Any ideas?
