Synchronization between local drive and mapped drive - where is the password ?

Thread needs solution

Hi there,

I have for the moment a synchronization defined between D:/Documents on my local computer and \\192.168.1.10\Documents, which is a mapped network drive on a Synology NAS

I have 2 questions :

First, if I want to create a new synchronization towards another directory on the NAS, it looks like I first have to create a mat network drive to that directory, so that it appears on the popup menu asking which Drive I want to synchronize, is it normal I have to create a map first for Acronis t be able to present me this drive as possible option ?

Second, Say the synchronizarion is defined. Do I need to keep the mapped network drive defined and active on the computer so that Acronis can synchronize this drive with a local drive on my computer ?
For the moment, I do not see this drive mapped anymore on my laptop but still it looks like Acronis is able to sync up the data with that network drive ... is it NORMAL ?
If I am now changing the password on the NAS, how will Acronis manage that ?? How and where does he record the password of that netword drive ?

Many Thanks !
