System freeze (Win 7 64, Gigabyte P55-UD3 Raid 2, Truecrypt)

With 2010 and 2011 I experience repeated system freezes when a backup is started immediately (by schedule) after resuming from hibernation.

The backup is at 0% and one program after the other stops responding to the system. The system does not accept keyboard input (ctrl-alt-del) anymore, the programs cannot be stopped. Mostly it recovers after some time, sometimes a hard reset is needed, leaving the raid in undefined state and causing a complete raid check.

Moreover it is not possible to terminate a scheduled backup except by removing the backup drive. After terminating the backup, it is restarted immediately. A manual termination of a task should leave the task (from a schedule perspektive) the same way as when it completed successfully. It is inacceptable that the task start over and over again and cannot be stopped.

Overall, the software is unrealiable and causes system crashs.

I will return 2011 to the dealer, this software is not worth its money!

And the problems are longstanding and have obviously been never adressed. Perhaps the developers should concentrate on errors instead of adding features! Stability is a vital requirement for a system backup software.
