System State: Warning
Hi,
This morning I discovered while running my weekly PSI check that my Acronis T/I Home 10.0 was no longer supported so I installed a copy of Acronis T/I Home 11 (Build 8,101) that I had downloaded when it became available a few years back. Everything seems to have gone smoothly.
I created my 'Bootable Rescue Media' on a DVD disk and then made an image of my hard drive and put it on my external hard drive for safe keeping.
However, now I notice that in a 'Yellow' area half way down the opening page of the program is the following warning message is still there:
System State: Warning
No Backups have been scheduled yet.
Result: Have no backup
Backup tasks: Not scheduled
I always do my monthly image backups manually so I am curious if there is any way to get rid of this message in the 'yellow' area or if it is there all the time?
Thanks and regards,

Just to embellish a bit here:
The warning system only counts backups made by a task and run on a ati schedule. That quirk dates back for many versions and persists. The oddest thing about the warning system is that it only shows when you manually load up ATI and yet what it warns about is only automatic backups, which are run without you loading up the interface. So it warns you exactly when you won't see it. It's like the tailfins on a 1959 automobile -- impossible to ignore but without any real purpose.
The best way to check on backups is to use explorer to see what's in the target directories. If what's there doesn't look right, then go into ATI and start poking around to find the problem. But even in that case, you won't be using the warning bar as an aid.
