Task Schedule Menu not displaying
The backup display no longer shows the scheduled tasks and I cannot find a way to display them. However the tasks do run.
The screen is expecting me to add a backup. If I do that then the task runs and then screen returns to expecting a new backup.
Now three run each day rather than two and I cannot find a way to alter the schedule.
I have run true image for about 4 years on three machines with software upgrade each year but never seen this issue.

If you post these, I will try to assist as one user to another.
Post a screen capture of your main menu listing the tasks,
plus a screen capture of your storeage folder showing the tib files.
Question. Have you edited any of your tasks or did you get any messages during an edit or a review of a task.
I have found that the looking at your task settings via edit settings and then attempting to "back out" rather than using the cancel key can result in a task with no name.
- You can look inside the scripts folder to see if any tasks/scripts exit.
- Location of scripts folder varies by windows version.
- Possibly in c:\programdata\Acrons\TrueImageHome\Scripts
If your tasks have disappeared, or if you have backups occurring where no tasks exist, Your best option may be to open your Acronis database and delete all the files in that database folder. The above will not delete your tib files but will delete all your tasks and require new tasks. |

Thanks GroverH,
All my schedules appear to be working, emails etc - I just can't see / access them to make any changes.
When I open 2015 - all I get on the BackUp screen is the option to backup the complete PC.
I can create new shedules etc, but I can't access any of these either.
It is though they have forgotten the link to display existing schedules

Did you install for All users or just yourself?
YOu might also restart the installation program and choose the REPAIR option.

Phil,
It really sounds like the original task was never completely saved as a completed task still needing a final save.
Try creating a new task as below. If it asks you whether you really want to leave the existing task, that message IS an indication the existing task needs another save.

Sorry GroverH, but I don't understand.
There is no 'Repair' option - if I click on the install file, I only get the Uninstall option. If I do that, I have recreate everything I have set up.
I say HAVE, because it still works as I expect it to - I just don't have any facility / method to edit the schedules I created some 6 months ago.
I am not a novice - I have been using Acronis since 2012 - all updates have been fine - until this one. From the posts in this forum, I am not the only person having this problem.
The only thing I can think of is that I am running a 64 bit machine on Windows 7?

Thank you GroverH, Deleting the contents of c:\programdata\Acrons\TrueImageHome\Database worked and after a restart, I was surprised to see the scheduled tasks not only available but working straight away.
I have attached screen shots before and after. Strangely there were no messages or errors and I was not editing a task.
No tasks or scripts exit. My only thought on what happened being that I was trying to access a file from the backup the other day without success.

Phil,
If within your initial first 30 day free support window, I would contact support via Livechat. Support Window in upper right corner.

All is good! I missed your comment about the deleting the database and Occidental reminded me.
Seems odd that it was a requirement - but thanks for your advice

Same issue. Instead of deleting the database folder, I just renamed it first to be safe and created a new database folder in the same directory. Reopened trueimage and there they are

I had the same problem for 2 weeks now. I use Acronis True Image since 2009, so I'm no newbie. About two weeks ago, my backup list had vanished, only "complete PC" was offered as option, but the tasks were still working. Acronis support (via the support menu in the application) did not reply.
Deleting (renaming) the "Database" folder also solved my issue. After doing so, a new "Database" folder was created, and my backup list is back.
Without the advice in this post, I never ever would delete a folder called "Database"!

This sound very like my problem and reading through it gave me great hope....however....
When I go to my file system and get to TrueImageHome directory.....there is NO database anything...no file that says that...no folder...nothing that looks like a DB file...now what? Thanks!

Wait...once again I'm an idiot....
Didn't really read the url described...went to the wrong folder.....
Followed the advice of Jwigg5pt0...renamed the old db file, created a new and bingo!!!!! Problem (seems) to be solved!
Thanks to all....except Acronis...who should be providing some fundamental support for their product.

Thank you for Grover H and Occidental for posting their results. My backup jobs were also running on their assigned schedule, but I was not able to see the jobs to make changes (screenshot attached).
Deleting the DB files located in C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Database worked for me. I stopped ALL TrueImage services via the task manager, deleted ALL files in this Database folder. I then launched TrueImage 2015 and could see all my backup jobs again (screenshot attached).

Hi There
I’ve not used this forum before so apologies if I’ve posted this inappropriately but I’m pretty desperate for a solution to this issue.
I've been using Symantec sysem backup and recovery products for many years Ghost/SSR etc. but as Symatec’s latest product does not support Windows10 I felt it was time for a change so considered Novabackup and Acronis. Having used both trial versions, I decided to go with Acronis True Image 2016 when I upgraded to Windows10. Everything has been working fine for the past four weeks but a few days ago all my backup tasks completely disappeared the backup seems to be running or at least I think they are but I have no visibility of the backup tasks. I was really pleased with the way True Image 2016 was working till that point and its functionality but having lost all my backup tasks it's really disappointing.
Please can someone advise me on what I can do to get my backup tasks back, I am hoping that I do not have to delete all my backups and reinstall True Image and start from scratch and what if this happens again, this is certainly not the experience I was expecting with this Aconis product. I have tried what has been suggested for 2015 but I cannot locate scripts or database items, I presume the file structure for 2016 may be different.
Please would someone be kind enough o advise me on the best course of actions to recovering my backup tasks and to prevent this issue occurring again in the future.
Thank you in anticipation of your support
Regards
Garry

O. Use Windows Explorer and browse to your backup storage folder and make sure your backup files (those with extension .TIB) do still exist. Regardless of any actions, you should not have to delete any actual backup file with the extension ".TIB" unless you wish to do so.
1. I do not know the cause of the disappearing tasks. According to the preceding post by Luke,
"Deleting the DB files located in C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Database worked for me'.
But before you do that, close TrueImage and use Windows Explorer and browse to the temp file (address below),
and delete as many files in the temp folder as the program will allow. Delete each file singly.
YOu may not be able to delete the files with todays date but should be able to delete any with prior dates.
After you have done the deletion, restart TrueImage and see if the tasks have returned. If still missing, you may want to delete the file
"database.db" from the database folder (address below). HOWEVER, YOU WILL NEED TO RECREATE YOUR TASKS.
2. Paths to each of your files listed below.
3. Look at the scripts folder. How many files is listed? Each of these is a missing backup task. FYI
=================================
Paths to User files of Acronis
Log files=C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Logs
Files named "service" most help. Edit via Notepad
----------------
Script files=C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts
Edit via Notepad. The script files contain you task configuration. Deletion of any of these files will cause the backup task not to appear and not to exist.
-----------------
Database history files=C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Database
Edit via Notepad. Contains history of backups created.
-----------------
Acronis temp file=C;\USERS\your user name\AppData\Local\Temp
Contents can be deleted when Win will permit.

Hi, I'm having the same problem with schemes "disappearing" from the menu. I attempted to rename the DATABASE folder but get a message that the action cannot be completed because the folder or file is open in another program, but Acronis TI is not open. Any help would be appreciated. (Lenovo desktop, Windows 7 Home Premium, Acronis TI 2016, build 5634).

Diane,
Boot into Windows Safe Mode and attempt the rename when in Safe Mode.

Hello Frank,
ProgramData folder can be hidden on particular systems. Here you will find instructions on how to make hidden folders visible: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files#show-hidde…
Thank you,
