TI 2009 Build 9809 BDOS with Windows 7

Thread needs solution

I tried to upgrade to the latest build (9809) and it was the BSOD (IRQ LESS THAN OR EQUAL) etc so I reinstalled Windows 7 from scratch, which was - shall we say - rather annoying. The same then happened when I tried to install it - blue screen.

I think I shall give Norton Ghost another shot, despite having been an Acronis customer for 10 years.

Did you do a thorough uninstall of your previous version of TI? I ask this because the same thing happened to me but a complete and thorough uninstall cured it. When you uninstall previous version make sure you go into users - name - appl data - roaming and delete the Acronis folder you will find there. Once you have done that re-boot and start again with clean install and all should be well.

P.S. reinstalling W7 from scratch was a bit drastic wasn't it? All you needed to do was use your Acronis bootable media disk and restore your latest backup - took me around 30 minutes in total.

Francis: FYI, I have a Win 7/64 pro machine that TI 2009 build 9809 runs just fine on.
Give TI another chance.

Hello all,

Let me assist you with this situation. Actually, the issue with this BSOD is caused by SnapAPI module, and we have already fixed it. Here are the instructions:

If you faced the same BSOD as we can see here, you can do the following to fix this issue:

  •  Boot into Safe Mode and remove contents of SnapAPI drivers according to this article
  •  Boot in Normal Mode and install the latest build of our program. You can download all the necessary files from update section in your account
  • Do not reboot  your PC after the Installation
  • Install the new version of SnapAPI 468
  • Reboot your PC

I'd like to make sure all your queries regarding Acronis products are resolved.
Additionally to this, you are welcome to ask me any other questions concerning Acronis, and I will assist you further.
