TI 2010 freeze computer running Win 7 64 bit No help
I have an HP desktop running Win 7 64 bit with 8 gigs of memory and a Raid 0 configuration. Installed Acronis 2010 build 6053 and as soon as I start a system backup the computer hangs and can only be turned off with the start button. When it boots back up it spends a couple of house repairing itself from the raid backup. Tried uninstalling various drivers (printer drives alway are a good bet, but no luck. Sent a message to Acronis support and have received no response in a week.
There was an issue on the forum concerning a fix for some incompatible drives. When I loaded the fix TI won't even open.
Finally tried booting from the CD and I can backup to a sata drive with that method but I can't read the completed file in Windows--says the file may be corrupted. I run AVG 9.0 and heard a rumor somewhere there may be a conflict there but the freezing seems to revolve primarily around 64-bit OS.
I was a true believer in Acronis but their lack of response to this problem has pretty much soured me. I'm obviously not the only person with a 64-bit OS who is having problems but the silence from support is deafening.
