TI 2010 - Managing the # of backups

Thread needs solution

I am running TI2010 and would like to set up a backup procedure that would allow me to set the number of backups to retain (2) and have TI delete the oldest backup when creating a new full backup. I've looked and a number of things in the program, but cannot seem to figure out how to achieve this.

Can anyone help/advise me on how to accomplish this?

Thanks

Hmmm, haven't used ATI2010 in a while but basically you want to tell it to consolidate incs after 0 incs. It will not consolidate any incs because there aren't any, but it will proceed to check the user-set quotas and delete the oldest backup so that the user-set limit is maintained. Mind, this is done after a backup is made. That's what worked in ATI2009, anyway. Should have been the same in ati2010.Perhaps the most felxible facility is gained by using the batch file manager a user wrote called Chain2gen -- you can search that on the forums.

In ati2011, it's a bit simpler; you can specify the parameters for a given backup set on series of screens, including specifying if you Fulls only and the quotas (size, date, number fo backup files), and set the schedule or even multiple schedules) for a task inlcuding setting "wake from Standby to run task".

I have a problem locating my post? Not sure what is going on, but I go to the ATI Home Forum and the message is not displayed. I do search for my user name and it comes up - what am I doing wrong?
