TI 2013 Freezing

Thread needs solution

Hi,

Upgraded to TI 2013 just 3 days ago & it will not complete a backup.
Tried contacting Support & they say that is expired so I am now here.

Day 1 Backup stopped at 95%.
Day 2 completed ok.
Day 3 it stopped & just hung there again at 52%.

My daily backups up to this week have been ok using TI 2012.

Acronis support would be very useful.

First thing Nigel is to try a repair install of 2013.

If that doesn't solve the problem, you may need to uninstall, run the Acronis cleaner and then re-install 2013.

If you either imported or carried over your 2012 tasks, try making a new task in 2013 and see if that runs OK.

Hi Colin,

Thanks for your reply.

The last 2 nights have worked,
I deleted the old 2012 tasks like you say, this worked one night then failed to complete the next.

I then moved the slider on the performance tab to high priority & the last 2 nights it worked ok.

I installed the 2013 directly on top of 2012 perhaps I should have removed 2012 first like you suggest.

If this persists I will do as you suggest & unistall.

Where can I find the Acronis cleaner you mention?

Thanks
Nigel

Thanks for the link & your help with this Coiln.

I have 3 seperate backup drives, backup every night & with last nights backup I have now had 3 successful backups in a row for the first time with TI 2013.

For info, this is since changing the performance to "High Priority" didn't need to do this with TI 2012.

Will do the cleanup etc, if this defect recurs again.

Thanks again
Nigel

I purchased True Image 2013 from Seagate Disk Tools and I am not allowed to do a full install, I can only upgrade from the seagate product. Do you have any advice on how to fix this problem? The product is 100% useless if the user interface crashes the computer every time it is opened.

I don't see what your issue has to do with the one discussed in this thread.

@daveb,

A new thread regarding your problem would be helpful.

I assume you have purchased an upgrade version of True Image from Acronis and can't install it over the top of Seagate Disk Tools, correct?
