TI 2014 now incredibly slow to backup

I have been using TI 2014 for quite some time. Recently I have noticed it has dramatically increased the time to conduct a backup. I use unscheduled backups of the image of a 120 Gb SSD to four internal HDD drives which I backup to individually. Only 80 Gb of the SSD is used. No new software, hardware etc. has been installed on the computer for several months. I am using "single version" for the backup and have for quite sometime.

For a long time (at least 9 months) the backups of the 120 Gb SSD would complete in about 16-18 minutes. Now over a period of time TI 2014 is taking well over an hour to backup and sometimes takes an hour and a half.

I tried removing TI2014, cleaning the registry etc., rebooting, reinstall TI2014, re-created the backup procedures but the same incredibly long backup time remains.

Anyone have any ideas what might be causing the major slowdown in backup times?
