TI 2014 Premium can't see MSR (128MB) partition of GPT disk, WIN 8.1

Thread needs solution

Hi all,
I'm trying to clone my HDD of my ASUS notebook (S46CM) with Win 8.1, upgraded from Win 8 (from factory). HDD is 750 GB. Everything is working. HDD has 10 partitions, starting with 1) 1 partition of 128MB (seems to be the MSR-"Reserved" in Diskpart); 2) 300MB (EFI System), 3) 900MB (Primary - seems it was Recovery with Win 8??, not sure - "Unknown" in Diskpart)), 4) C: (OS), 5) 349MB ("Recovery" in Diskpart - seems it was created when upgrading to 8.1??, not sure); 6,7,8,9) logical drives I created, D to G; and 10) 20GB (restore - ASUS software, drivers - Unknown in Diskpart).
Very well, both with Acronis 2014 in Windows and booting with the recovery CD I created, Acronis does not see partition 1 - MSR, 128MB. It sees all other 9 partitions.
Windows Disk Management in Control Panel can see all 9 partitions, not the MSR-128MB partition either.
Acronis and Windows can see 2 partitions of a 24GB SSD which I'm not trying to clone.
What is happening and how can I trust a cloned HD to save me in a future crash of my current HD /problem with Windows if Acronis can't see one of the partitions?

TrueIMage 2014 does NOT support the cloning function on a GPT disk.

To reproduce a new GPT disk using 2014, you will need to create a full disk backup and then restore the backup onto the new disk.

2014 will place the MSR as the first partiton on the disk.

Hi GroverH, thanks for your information. However, I think Acronis did something wrong or misleading. I read KB 44348.
I purchased Acronis 2013 on 7/21/13 with the information from Acronis that Windows 8 was fully supported. That was enough for me to believe that even TI 2013 could do anything with disks... cloning, imaging, whatever...
I was entitled to upgrade to TI 2014 Premium, and I upgraded as soon as 2014 was launched.
I read somewhere on Acronis site that TI 2014 as "fully tested with Windows 8.1".
KB 44348 is dated 8/28/13 and was updated on 3/18/14. So, it was updated on March 18th to say that Acronis 2014 can't clone a GPT disk ("Cloning og GPT disk is not supported"), after saying that 2014 was "fully tested with Windows 8.1"?
I'm very, very disappointed on Acronis and I do think I was mislead, to say the least.
Cheers (to you).

Alexandre,
As I am not associated with Acronis is any manner, all I can do for you is to read your comments.

Perhaps you would like to make Acronis aware of your feelings. Here is a link to the forum moderator where you can contact via private message. There is also the Acronis contact page on the main forum.

The clone function is of the software and not associated with how Windows works.
I wish the clone function worked for GPT disks but it does not
and the cloning of GPT disks is NOT supporteed on their new Disk Director 12 Partitioning utilty which was just recently released last nonth.

Good luck.

Hi GroverH, thanks for your information and I know you are not associated with Acronis. I addressed a message to Ms. Trifonova. I feel Acronis doesn't deserve I remain a customer/user of their products in the future. TI 2013/2014 was my last purchase. I think there are other good options in the market. Regards,
