TI 2014 Recovery Fails

Thread needs solution

I had and issue on my Win8.1 x64 system and it was suggested that I perform a restore. I created a new Acronis 2014 boot disk, booted from the CD, found the full backup I wanted to use from the Full backup folder, selected to only restore the C drive contents (e.g. I did not restore the MBR or other items). The size of the restore is about 465 GB. I'm restoring to a SSD which is the boot drive in my system.

The recovery ran several hours and reported that it had failed.

I then selected a full TIB file from my incremental folder selecting the same as the above attempt. This time TI ran for just about an hour and reported that it failed.

I rebooted and attempted again using a TIB full from my full folder, this time within minutes TI reports "Recovery operation failed.

In the process of the recovery TI erased everything on the drive as expected and of course I no longer can boot my system.

I just attempted to restore everything to the SSD and this failed as well.

What the heck are my options at this point?

What a PITA this has been. In that I was not able to recover to my 500 GB SSD I recovered to a 1 TB HD. I then attempted to clone the HD to the SSD but because the small windows partitions on the drive I had to use TI to delete them. After this I was able to clone the HD to the SSD. When this completed I reinstalled the SSD and booted the system.

Sorry to say but the quality of this app is the pits!
