TI Home 2010 seems to ignore removal of differential tibs

Thread needs solution

I have just upgraded 2009 to 2010.
I am doing some house-keeping on differential images (relocation on hard drive and archiving of earlier diffs)
I can't get this new-fangled treeview "Image" browser to act sensibly when I move the differential images around on my disks....

I have a tib with the original Full partition backup.
I have a few subsequent Differential tibs
I have duplicated all the tibs to a new location (a safety issue)
From the new set I have moved all but the most recent Diffferential tib to different disk location (in preparation for their archiving)
When I access the remaining Full and most recent (only) Differential tibs with the Mount utility (accessed from the GUI) I still see the older differential tibs shown in the tree view. But I don't expect to see the older differentials shown as as far as I'm concerned they are currently unavailable (or at least soon will be)
I think that this new treeview image browser can't cope with either the duplication of tibs or the splitting of some tibs to a different location.
Is there any way to actually get on and browse the tibs in a way that matches the file locations, rather than it imposing its own view?
I have tried using the right-click Mount and Recover options to browse the images but I then don't get to see the Comments to be sure which version will actually be mounted or recovered.
