TI Home 2010: system can't boot after restore - solution for dual core CPU

I want to share a solution to my problem which took me whole night to figure out.
I used bootable CD created with TI in Windows XP to make a system partition backup, then used the same CD for boot-time restore (partition + MBR + disk signature). Upon restore, only blank screen would apear and system wouldn't boot to XP. Turns out I needed to disable dual core feature in system BIOS before starting restore.
Note that restore process itself didn't report any errors - said it was successful. Product: TI Home 2010 (build 6053) System: HP nc8430 Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 CPU T5600 2GB RAM, bios version F16
