TI Home 2013: Best practice for failed validation?

Thread needs solution

I have been using TI Home for many years. It does automatic backups to a USB3 HDD and then validates the backup chain. One of the files in the chain apparently is corrupt, I get the error "The file is corrupted".

I have checked the disk for errors and I would like to just reset the backup to start from zero. But I fail how to do that. What is the best practice in such a situation? New backups are written fine.

Thanks!

This link could help.

You can cease to use the old task or remove the old task or delete (within the program) some the most recent additons to the backups so that the continuous numbering is kept intact followed by a manual validation.

Also look at signature link 2 below and review illustration 11-Inc just in case you have not been using automatic cleanup so the program will do its own deletions to perpretuate the keeping of a fixed number of chains.
