TI Recovery crashes at re-boot
I am running the latest (updated today) full version of True Image 2013 (& Plus Pack) on a Windows 8 (x64) PC.
The software has worked okay since installation (July 2012) but this is the first recovery that I have attempted on this PC.
I want to recover a back-up (made three weeks ago) of my C drive but the process involves a re-boot after the various True Image recovery options have been selected and accepted.
The system shuts down okay but then stops as soon as Acronis tries to load upon re-boot.

Thanks for your feedback comments.
I suppose I can do this, as a last resort, if I must, but this method is not without its dangers and it appears to be a little OTT simply to restore a back-up to one drive. I was not planning to do a full recovery of the PC.
I was led to believe that TI 13 was generally supposed to make this type of restore reasonably simple.
I would like to understand and correct the error that causes Acronis to hang during the re-boot process. All I get is an on-screen message from Acronis saying “Acronis is loading... please wait” but nothing further happens.
My guess is that it could be something simple like the software looking in the wrong place - but my knowledge is very limited.

If you are trying to recover an image that contains the OS to a disk that is currently booted and contains the OS, True Image has to reboot in order to take Windows off line so files can be replaced. If it is just a data disk or an OS image being recovered to a current non drive, no reboot is required.
When recovering an OS disk it is always advisable to do so booted from the recovery CD.
