TI2009: Index corrupted 0x70025

Thread needs solution

When I run backup "Image disk" I get the error "Index corrupted 0x70025".
I have run "chkdsk /F", and the partition is ok.
I disable the antivirus and I unistall Outpost Firewall, but I still have the problem.
I ran the last backup September 12 (backup ok), but I get the error from 21 September.
The backup "System State" and "backup Outlook" work well (OK).

Configuration:
Acronis True Image Home 2009 Upgrade (Italiano) - (build 9769)
WinXP Home SP3 - NTFS
Antivirus: Avira AntiVir Premium
Firewall: Outpost Firewall Free

Attachment:
- log TrueImage: LOG-2009-09-24-094530.xml
- output of AcronisReport: AcronisReport-2009-09-24.txt
- output of chkdsk: chkdsk-2009-09-24.txt

Thanks!

Run checkdisk with the /r switch it is a little more vigorous in sorting out disk problems.

I run chkdsk /R: the HD is OK. But I still have the problem.
I think the index corrupted is a file used by TrueImage (internal use).

If you didn't, run the chkdsk /r command on the partition that is receiving the archive (assuming it is on an internal or external HD).

The internal HD and also the external HD (USB), are intact (CHKDSK = OK).

If I use the parameter "exclude files" = OFF, then the  backup works well (backup = OK).

If I use the parameter "exclude files" = ON, and I exclude the folder "C:\zFUORI_BACKUP\", then  I get the error "Index corrupted".

Then the index corrupted, is not an object of  file system NTFS, but an internal file of TrueImage.

Thanks!

Hello all,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Index corrupted is not a file, and also this error is not related to our program at all. This is some kind of filesystem corruption. Have you tried to perform the same operations using another HDD?

Also, I recommend you to install Acronis SnapAPI drivers update to overcome this issue. I have sent you this link via PM.

Please install the update with disabled logging and see whether the issue persists.

Thank you.

Hello Alexander.

>Have you tried to perform the same operations using another HDD?
Yes. I made the backup to two different external HD (HD USB). The error occurs with both HD. I run "CHKDSK /F" end "CHKDSK /R" on the internal HD and on the HD-USB. The file system is OK.

>I recommend you to install Acronis SnapAPI drivers
I installed SnapAPI drivers and reboot. The problem is not resolved.

I re-installed True Image (unistall / reboot/ install). The problem is not resolved.

If I use the parameter "exclude files" = OFF, then the backup works well (backup = OK).
The problem is not the file system.

Thank you.

I solved the problem.

I found a hidden file whose date is wrong (year = 25120).

Directory di C:\found.000
14/08/2007        18:06 .
14/08/2007        18:06 ..
03/03/25120  09:03   0   file0000.chk
                      1 File 0 byte
                      2 Directory 19.185.688.576 byte disponibili

I deleted the file and also the folder. Now TrueImage works well.

I think the messages of TrueImage should be more accurate.
