TI2013- No Progress Information During Incremental Restore File

Thread needs solution

I have about 1 Tb of various data folders/files that TI2013 has backed up (incremental) onto an external RAID10. I needed to restore a single file but during the operation there was no progress bar or info displayed UNTIL it found the selected file. I was surprised it took so long (4-5 mins) with my USB3 RAID10 and Win7 64b dual Xenon workstation to find the file. Also there was no progress bar was displayed until the file was finally found and restore started (then it took a few seconds). It reminded me of tape backup. Is that normal for TI2013? It reminded me of tape backup. Does TI2013 search thru the .tib file like a tape backup? I thought there should be a index in the tib file and it would take a few seconds to find the specific file sector and restore. Is my TI2013 working as expected?

thanks

Jerry,
I think I understand your question. There is no progress bar while you browse to a file you want to restore. The progress bar appears when the restore operation takes place. Browsing a 1TB .tib file even on the fastest PC with ample memory might take a little time. A .tib file loaded from a local disk will also be faster that browsing from USB.
