TIH Scheduled Backups do not Run in Sleep mode - Solution

Thread needs solution

I have a solution to this issue that many have reported in these forums. It will work for all versions of TIH. (Maybe some would consider it a workaround).
What is required to have something wake the PC up so that backups will execute and not rely on Acronis Scheduler to do that.
I found a program called 'Wake on Standby' that in its simplest form will do just that, and even put the PC back to sleep after backups are done. You can even choose to keep the monitor off when it is woken up. Best of all it is free!
(How about having the PC wake you up playing Pandora?).
It has amazing flexibility, and will even allow multiple instances to run if you want the PC woken up for different jobs at different times. I have tested it briefly and it works well for what I need.

Yes, there are a few of these "alarm clock" programs floating around.

If you have an older version of ATI, you can also us the Windo9ws task scheduler to run tasks -- it's designed to wake a machine frorm standby is you wish nad has lots of other flexible optons. search the ati forums for how to use windows task scheduler to rund ati task on the older version of ati.

If you have one of the newer versions of ATI, you're in luck as they also have that wake-up ability now -- you can set this when you create a scheudle for a task in ATI.
