TIH2009 Backup Wizard Goes Unresponsive
I have a completely reproducible problem with TIH2009 and would be very interested in knowing whether it's familiar to others. I've tried unsuccessfully searching the support site for anything relevant and don't seem to be getting anywhere with Acronis Support.
I'm using Vista Ultimate 32-bit on a high-spec Sony Vaio laptop. When I installed TIH2009 it prompted me to make some kind of system backup and this was apparently successful. Since then I've wanted to backup a 100GB directory on my D: drive using the 'Backup My Data' backup wizard. This goes unresponsive within a few seconds of checking the required directory and pressing the 'Next' button. When I use Ctrl-Shft-Esc to bring up Windows' Task Manager and press the End Process button with the Acronis process highlighted, I'm told that the process is waiting for my input, but I can't find any way to provide input to it. If I try the same thing but select a tiny directory instead exactly the same thing happens.
Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem - Selected Backup Wizard : Select drive to backup : click NEXT, pane goes blank and become un responsive.
I've tried other drives/options - same result.
Acronis - it's time to fix this. Note Fungus's response - not a good response for your product.

Hello,
Fungus, thanks for your help.
John and Roger, please accept our apologies for the difficulties you've experienced.
I may recommend you to update Acronis SnapAPI drivers to overcome the issue.
- Download SnapAPI update
- Unpack the archive and run the SnapAPISetup.msi file;
- Go through the wizard screens and hit Proceed to install the update.
- Reboot the machine to finish the installation
If the issue still persists after the update, please collect AcronisInfo and submit a support request.
Please reply to this thread if you have any questions.
Thank you.
