Trim support for Windows 8/8.1

Thread needs solution

I see in this post (https://forum.acronis.com/forum/43228) that ATI2014 has trim support in the bootable media version but not the windows version run from inside Windows beyond Vista. This is understandable since Windows 7/8.1 have Trim functionality.

I would like to suggest that Acronis add it to the ATI version run from inside windows for users of Win 8.x as there are PCs out that where the Windows trim function doesn't work. My Win 8.1 laptop is one of those. On numerous forums I have seen many posts where Win 8/8.1 has various SSD optimization problems.

Fortunately the trim function on the ATI2014 bootable media seems to trim my SSD as verified by the popular freeware test program trimcheck, but it would be more convenient if it could be done from inside windows.

A second request is to at least never drop the trim function from bootable media so users like me have a way to trim their SSDs.

Unfortunately Trim SSD has been removed in TI 2015 (along with many other features, read the True Image 2015 forum).

Do you perhaps have the option to Trim your SSD via Acronis Startup Recovery Manager (ASRM)? You need to activate ASRM first though via the Tools tab in TI. I do not know however whether on Windows 8 ASRM has the Trim option (on my Vista system it does).

BTW: Trim in the windows version of TI requires a restart and upon that restart is the SSD Trimmed. On my Vista machine I therefore mostly use ASRM to trim my SSD, as I can Trim the SSD when I start the computer and I do not need a restart
