Trouble Installing True Image 2012 Plus pack upgrade

Thread needs solution

When I open True Image 2012 Plus Pack, it says a new version is available but when it checks for updates, it says I have the latest version

When I check About, it says I have Plus Pack Build 6131, so I downloaded Build 7131 from the Acronis website and installed it. However after installation and re-boot it still says I have Build 6131 and that there is a newer version available

I am using Windows 7 Professional 32 bit

Can anyone assist
Thanks

Greetings,
Sounds like you are having a versioning error or conflict. This can occur when an earlier version of the product is installed, and an upgrade is applied, but files and/or registry entries which identify the installed version do not get updated properly.

I'd suggest that you perform a clean install of the latest build currently 7133. To ensure success, I recommend that you uninstall build 6131, run the acronis clean up utility (following all instructions), then install build 7133.

If you have tasks you do not wish to recreate. Please export them before uninstalling. They can be reimpoted or recreated later if you wish. Please follow all of the instructions when using the clean up utility. See the link below:

Hi

I tried that and there was a previous version - TI 2010. However in retrospect that is logical because it is the original copy which had been upgraded to TI 2012 and then upgraded to TI 2012 Plus Pack.

I followed all your instructions which that meant after the clean up I had to reinstall TI 2010 and then upgrade, however near the end of the installation it errored and rolled itself back.

I then restored the OS from the last back up (created yesterday), uninstalled Plus Pack, updated TI Home 2012 to the latest build and then upgraded to the latest build of TI 2012 Plus Pack and that worked.

Thanks for your time in offering assistance
