True Image 2011 Power Pack software

Thread needs solution

Hello: I have just now installed 2011 version that I purchased long ago. There is another exe, a power pack. What is its purpose and function? Previous versions did not have this and Google is not helpful.

The Plus Pack adds various features not available in True Image, such as Universal Restore. It also allows you to create a bootable Recovery Media based on a Windows PE environment (rather than the usual Recovery Media's Linux-based environment), into which you can add Windows drivers that might be unsupported in the basic Recovery Media.

You can read about it here:

A link to the 2011 Plus Pack information can be found here: http://kb.acronis.com/content/13644.
You should have a separate serial number for the Plus Pack installation.
If you have registered your 2011 serial numbers online with Acronis, you should sign into your Acronis account and download the lastest copies of both the 2011 main program and the 2011 Plus Pack, and use those to install your 2011 and 2011 Plus Pack applications. Both the main program and the Plus Pack MUST be the same build (version).

Thank you. i will check out your link now. One Google comment suggested it was malware which I knew could not be true.

Virtually every Windows component is listed as malware on some site or other (just search for a few, it's amazing the nonsense that you'll discover). You need to consider the authority and trustworthiness of any site before replying on their information about what files are maiware.
