Rob,

If you register your serial number online at https://www.acronis.com/my/index.html, you can download an ISO file that can be used to create bootable Rescue Media.

Also if you install the 2013 program, within the program you can create bootable Rescue media (CD/DVD/flash drive).

Thank you for your response, so there is no Live boot CD, only the rescue media that I created myself.

Rob

I don't know what you mean by "Live boot CD". 2010 would have provided the same ability as 2013, which is to either download or to create the Acronis True Image bootable Recovery Media (Rescue Media), booted either from CD or USB flash drive. You have the same ability in 2013.

The retail version of TrueImage sold by places like Staples and Amazon, etc often times comes with a standalone bootable Recovery CD which is also the install CD. This CD has the same capabilities as the one created by the user. Serial number is part of the box contents.

Sometimes, the actual contents of the retail purchase is not the most current so an additional digital download is necessary(after serial registration) to get the the most current build.

However, when the purchase of software is via a digital download, a separate recovery CD is not part of the purchase or download (see note). Once the purchased serial number is registered, the most current build is immediately available for download which provides immediate capability of creating the most current bootable Recovery CD.

Note: Sometimes in the past, I have seen an online option for the user to buy an additional Recovery/installation CD which is mailed to user after purchase but I am not sure whether this purchase option still exists.

Rob,
Is this the Recovery CD that you believe is missing?

I have updated Acronis and Plus 2013 on an HP 64 bit Windows 8 pro laptop. First install went well. Now the HP laptop reboots with the error screen and restarts. Will not run a back up without this happening.

Had Windows 7 pro and Acronis 2012 and all was well.
Any suggestions?

If it were me, I would uninstall, cleanup, and then do a fresh installation.

If you decide to do that, after uninstalling ATI, run the Acronis True Image Cleanup Utility for 2011-2013: http://kb.acronis.com/content/34876
Be careful to follow all instructions, including not allowing the utility to reboot until you've made the Registry edits.

I have searched and searched, but I cannot find an answer to this rather obvious question.

If I buy a family pack of three True Image 2013's, do I need to purchase three copies of the plus pack? Or is buying one plus pack sufficient for all three in the Family pack?

One copy per machine it is to be installed on. Check with Acronis to see if they have a deal on a family pack for Plus Pack, or a discount for multiple copy sales.
I only install the Plus Pack on systems that use Windows Dynamic disks, If you are not using dynamic disks, you could install it only on one system. This would still allow you to create both WinPE based media and bootable Acronis Rescue Media with the Plus Pack features included, that can be used for any of your three systems.

PS. The Plus Pack does not use activation.

Actually, the purpose for my client of the Plus Pack is to get access to 3TB drives and full USB 3 compatibility!

The Plus Pack doesn't add access to 3TB drives in 2013. Basic GPT disks are supported natively in 2013 (unlike the previous versions).

The Plus Pack doesn't add access to USB 3 either.

If the GPT disk is dynamic, and not basic, you will need the Plus Pack.

Hi,
I apologize if I wrong my post.
I'm a user of True Image Home 2010 upgrade (Windows 7) from TrueImage 11 Home . I recently upgraded to Windows 8 Pro and True Image 2010 won't install. Instead TrueImage 11 works.
How do I upgrade to True Image 2013? Do I just pay for the upgrade? I need to be sure before making any payments.
Thanks!

Yes you just need to pay for the upgrade. You don't need to have the previous version installed to upgrade, but your will need your OLD serial number AND the serial number of the UPGRADE. The upgrade installer should ask for both of them.
