True Image 2013 installation failed

Thread needs solution

I am attempting to install the full version of True Image Home 2013, but have not been successful in doing so. Although I have never had to uninstall the previous version of TIH I was using, I am wondering if one needs to uninstall TIH2012 and then install TIH2013. Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

1. Use the Acronis True Image 2013 bootable Rescue Media to make a full disk mode backup.
2. Turn off or disable Startup Recovery Manager or Secure Zone, if you had them.
3. Uninstall 2012.
4. Run Acronis True Image Cleanup Utility for 2011-2013: http://kb.acronis.com/content/34876
Be careful to follow all instructions, including not allowing the utility to reboot until you've made the Registry edits.
5. Reboot
6. Install 2013.

Good afternoon, tuttle-
Thank you for your response. Being a neophyte, I do have a few questions.

1. Where do I obtain the "Acronis True Image 2013 bootable Rescue Media" you mentioned above? Earlier, I created a bootable rescue disk using Acronis True Image 2012. However, being as I cannot install 2013, I am not sure how to create the 2013 bootable Rescue Media.
2. Am I to "turn off or disable Startup Recovery Manager or Secure Zone," through Acronis True Image 2012, which is currently installed on my computer?

Thanks in advance for your assistance. It is appreciated.

1. Register at Acronis.com, enter the 2013 serial number and you will be able to download the latest bootable Rescue Media ISO.
Burn that to CD-R. In Windows 7, you don't need any third-party software. Right-click the .iso and select "Burn disc image".

2. Yes, disable both of those and disable Windows Integration before uninstalling.
