True Image 2013 - Problem with Backups deleted with Windows Explorer

Thread needs solution

After a Hard Disk problem and a good restore using True Image 2013 I decided to change where I was storing these backups. In the process I deleted some older versions using Windows Explorer. After reading in the Knowledge Base and on the Forum, I now realize that there is Meta data that True Image uses to keep track of these backups.

Now I keep getting a message at the end of my backups stating, "Failed to open backup....." and then lists (in the message) the path to the file that I had deleted.

How can I update the Meta data so that True Image is no longer trying to keep track of these older backup files?

I tried creating new tasks but these still end up looking for these "long lost" old backups.

Thanks, Tim

Try validating the problem task and respond "ignore" to the error message and see it that helps.

The deletion of the meta file (archive.xml) will remove all your tasks.

GH55. Delete Database History Archives.xml.
GH55A. Acronis services

Thanks GroverH.

I did the validate and the task now shows the 3 current backups. So I expect this will resolve the problem. I'll know tomorrow morning after my nightly backup run. I'll post again at that time..
