True Image 2013 - Reparing broken backup chains

Thread needs solution

Can anyone advise how to repair a broken backup chain in True Image 2013?

I have a set of 11 backups comprising 2x full and 9x incremental backups. The backups take the form:
name_full_b1_s1_v1.tib .. name_inc_b1_s4_v1.tib and
name_full_b2_s1_v1.tib .. name_inc_b2_s7_v1.tib
These are listed as a continuous backup chain on the laptop that created them, and are all valid.

When I tried to access the same backups from a 2nd laptop, the backup chain was listed as two distinct backup chains, where only 1 out of 4 of one chain, and 4 out of 7 of the other chain were listed.

I have tried all sorts of tricks to persuade True Image to recognise the other members of the backup chain, but to no avail. I would prefer True Image to list the backups as a single chain of 11 items, but would be happy to settle for 2 chains of 4 and 7 items each, but I am obviously not content to accept 2 chains with numerous missing items.

So far I have tried:
1. Adding the missing items via the "Browse for Backup" option;
2. Deleting the entire backup chain, and then restoring it via "Browse for Backup";
3. Uninstalling and reinstalling the application (which was not trivial), and then restoring all backup chains via "Browse for Backup".
but none of the above fixed the problem.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Can anyone advise me how to fix the broken chain?
Is there any benefit in upgrading to 2014, or even downgrading to 2010? - I heard that 2010 was more stable.

Regards,
Mike.

It would probably be simplest to create brand new backup tasks with your desired options.

I agree that a new backup chain would be appropriate for future backups,
but I am concerned that this and other existing backup chains of mine are incorrectly listed when imported into the application on a 2nd laptop, with no obvious way to repair them.

If all backup created by the same single task, all tib files should appear in their task listing when viewed via the Acronis Backup Explorer.

I would use the approach below and highlight all 11 files and choose the "add to list" option.

GH21. How to add backup files to the listing of backup tasks for assorted uses             such as validation or recovery or add missing files to backup tasks.

The only thing of importance is that all files appear together inside the task (and computer) which created them

Sometimes from the list above, all are not visible but by selecting other files for dispaly, the dispay will move and display different files so eventually all can be viewed in sequence but not all on the same screen due to screen size.

As to how they appear from another computer, if selecting for restore, you would be selecting a specific file.
