True Image 2013 with Trekstor Datastaion maxi light 3.0?

Thread needs solution

Hello,
I use Acronis True Image Home (ATIH 2010) since years (twice a week, on different external harddisks).
With my new Trekstor data Staion maxi light 3.0 (3 TB and USB 3.0) the old ATI-Vrsion doesn't work
(Software hangs, when I try to select the desitination directory in a (fresh) ATI Task).
The drive can be used in Windows7 and Windos Vista, H2testw does not detect an error. The Drive is a "MBR-Drive". I reduced the size of the partion on the new disk below 2TB (all my other disks are lower or equal 2TB). But this does not work either.

If the problem disapear with the latest Acronis True Image Home Software, I will spent the effort to upgrade to True Image 2013 on both notebooks, create all ATI-Tasks from the scratch and check that "old backups" can be read and restore, if needed.
There is a risk, that the problem is on my notebook(s) (e.g. ntdll.dll is mentions when using ATIH 2010 on the 3 TB drive) and not within the Acronis software.

My question:
Does anybody know, if the disk (3TB, Trekstor Datastation maxi light 3.0) can be used with
"True Image 2013"? (with Window7 and Windows Vista?)

Harti,

I don't know the answer to your question as far as 2013 is concerned, but what happens if you plug your USB 3 drive into a USB 2.0 port, when this problem has been reported with 2013, changing the drive to using a USB 2 port solves the problem, so it may also work woth 2010.

Thanks for your feedback.
I checked what you suggested. However, the new drive cannot be used on USB 2.0.
I could select the drive and define the desitination, but
after ATIH starts, it was stopped - "...looking for a solution" and "ATI is closed".

In the meantime I collect more information. It seems that it is more a problem with 3TB. The disk was preformatted using "MBR" and a 4K cluster size. Independent of the total size of the partition, it seems that the drive is to big (for ATIH 2010).

There are so many entries with negativ rezesions in the forum, that I will not move to True Image 2013. Maybe, I will bye a new drive with only 2 TB and/or looking for an alternative backup software.
(I'm using Acronis True Image since 2007 and have therefore a lot of ATI-Tasks, Images and data files saved available on my other disks)

OK, 2013 does work with 3TB drives.
